The People’s Power

Since 2020, our utility bills have spiked between 50% and in some places 90% across the state with no end in sight. In a world getting hotter, with more extreme weather, electricity is no luxury. Floridians deserve reliable and affordable access to power as a right, and the folks saying otherwise are lying to you to line their pockets and keep the grift up. Our rate hikes are past the national average, all so our politicians’ wealthy pals; in 2024, as our costs went up and hurricanes decimated our community and left many of us in the dark for weeks, TECO bragged about its record profits. This is your money. This is our power. We need to literally take the power back.

Public Power For The People

I will fight to put electric power in the hands of the people, lower your utility bills through renewable resources, and curb the 2029 PSC rulemaking on net metering. We will restore retail rate credit, cap fixed prices from big utilities. We will create jobs and boost electrician apprenticeships to create solar farms across the State of Florida to give lower income and renting households the same benefits. Florida Solar power for all, and I as a State Representative will fight to see it done.

Ending Utility gatekeeping

Bans discriminatory interconnection fees and requires utilities to fairly credit community solar subscribers, so investor-owned utilities can’t quietly strangle the program.
